The Tricod DPF-LCD15K2-AML is an ideal bargain for a 15-inch frame having a resolution of 1024 x 768 so the pictures are bright and crystal clear. It has an internal memory of 1 GB and is compatible with many varieties of storage devices including Memory Stick, Micro drive, Multimedia Card, SD Memory Card etc. However, out of the four slots, only one operates at a time. It allows images to be viewed in a slideshow, different fade effects can be added.The brightness, and contrast can be adjusted by using the adjustment wheels at the top of the frame
It is capable of playing videos and play music files through its built-in speakers, as long as they are in the MPEG-4, MPEG-2 and Mp3 format. Songs are displayed in a proper sequence. However, the music is tinny and the volume setting are not very loud and the first song on the flash drive is always used as the background song for slideshows as it does not use music files held in other folders for slideshows.
It reboots to the slideshow display mode, if the power fails but it does not play music automatically. However, it does have an auto repeat option for slideshows and music. The frame comes with a handheld IR remote controller and it runs on a power adapter, and can easily be customized. The remote can be used to change transition effects between images. The frame can be oriented to either portrait or landscape view.
The quality of LCD and cosmetic frame is excellent along with the look of it. It has a rosewood frame that looks very classy. The controls of the frame are good for randomizing photos, contrasting and brightening the pictures. The setup menu is a little burdensome, but easily understood. For most consumers, there are absolutely no problems encountering and uploading pictures. They are easily viewable along with videos. Deleting these pictures is also easily. It loads quickly as well which is a major advantage.
It is very easy to use and no software’s have to be installed. However, the operating system is very basic and so takes some time to get the task done. For large screen viewing, the frame can easily be connected to a television set. Overall, the product has all the features from an attractive appearance to music and video playback.
However, there is not an option of an auto screen saver if you choose to display a static picture, but other than that every penny is worth it!
